The Coptic Orthodox Church

A timeless message of salvation and an eternal story of endless love.

Our Coptic Orthodox Church

The term "Copts" is derived from the Greek word 'Aigyptos', meaning Egyptian. The Coptic Orthodox Church is one of the most ancient churches in the world, founded by Saint Mark the Evangelist in the first century. Throughout its rich history, the church has preserved the original apostolic faith, enduring centuries of persecution while maintaining its profound monastic traditions and rich liturgical life.

The Coptic Church gave the world the gift of monasticism through figures like Saint Anthony the Great. Its theology is deeply rooted in the teachings of the Desert Fathers and the early Church Councils. Today, the Coptic Orthodox Church stands as a testament to the enduring power of faith, offering a timeless message of salvation and an eternal story; a story of endless love that always gives.
