Our journey began in early 2001 when we gathered at the Glenmore Park Community Centre every Saturday night, receiving spiritual guidance and prayers from Fr. Antonious and Fr. Botros of Archangel Michael and St. Bishoy Church.
As our community grew, we transitioned to the Uniting Church at Orchard Hills, where we held vespers on Saturdays and mass on Sundays. In November 2007, we took a significant step by purchasing our current property, converting a large shed into what is now St. Mary & St. Mina Church.
The following year, in February 2008, Fr. Luke was ordained as the priest for our church. On December 2, 2012, the church altar was consecrated by His Grace Bishop Daniel, Bishop Asheia, and Bishop Danial.
Our community continued to flourish, and in April 2014, Fr. Amounious Elanba Paula joined us in serving the church. A major milestone was reached on April 14, 2019, when His Grace Bishop Daniel laid the foundation stone for the St. Mina & Pope Kyrillos VI Centre.
This new centre includes a church, Sunday School classes, an indoor sports centre for events and celebrations, the Pope Shenouda III Youth Meeting Hall, a commercial kitchen, and a sitting area. On December 30, 2022,
His Grace Bishop Daniel celebrated the first mass in the newly established St. Mina & Pope Kyrillos VI Church, marking the beginning of a new chapter for our vibrant community.
